Your new workplace

Your new workplace, Sundsvall Food and Meals, part of the Administrative Board's Service Center, is responsible for preparing and serving sustainable and healthy meals to preschools, schools, and elderly care facilities. Approximately 250 permanent employees work at around 80 locations within the operations. We are now looking for a chef for the kitchen at Hagaskolan. This is a well-planned production kitchen where breakfast, lunch, and snacks are prepared and served for the school's approximately 600 students, and meals are prepared and sent to two preschools. A total of seven chefs and meal service staff work in the kitchen, led by a head chef.

How you contribute as a chef

The workplace uses a job rotation system, meaning you, as a chef, will participate in all tasks and duties in the kitchen, from receiving goods, preparation, cooking, dishwashing, and cleaning. Administrative tasks are also included, such as ordering, reporting on self-control, and planning in the diet data system. Together with colleagues and the unit manager, you will work on developing the operations and ensuring a good and safe working environment. The role involves collaborating with other units and operations, making it a vital part of the work.

Your qualifications and experience

You are a trained chef with several years of experience. Experience in preparing special diets is an advantage. The position involves some administrative tasks, so we expect you to be computer literate and preferably have experience working with diet data systems. To succeed in this role, your personal qualities are important, and we will place great emphasis on them during the recruitment process. You are driven, innovative, have good teamwork skills, and, of course, a great passion for cooking. Since kitchen work can be stressful at times, it is important that you can plan and organize your work effectively.
