The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for providing individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also carries out closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. At SiS, your working life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Vemyra, located outside Sollefteå, receives school-aged boys up to 16 years old with psychosocial problems, as well as those involved in crime and substance abuse.
Job Description
We are currently looking for a cook for a permanent position. The role of a cook with us involves planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals as well as special diets for the young people at the institution.
The role includes, among other things:
- Responsibility for leading and distributing work in the institution's kitchen, including prep and cleanup.
- Ensuring high-quality cooking, planning menus, and handling special diets.
- Purchasing, receiving deliveries, inventorying stock, and maintaining the budget.
- Participating in dietary consultations with the clients.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- A restaurant or large-scale kitchen education at the upper secondary level, or other education combined with experience that we consider relevant.
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
- Good computer skills.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Merits:
- Experience working in a large-scale kitchen.
- Experience working with self-control systems (HACCP).
- Experience working with special diets.

Employment:
The position is a permanent part-time role at 75% and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date: August 3, 2026, or as agreed.
Location: Sollefteå.
