Experienced Project Manager for the Construction of a New Prison in Trelleborg

About the Role

In Trelleborg, we will build a completely new Correctional Institution over the next 4-6 years on a 40-hectare plot. More than 100,000 square meters of buildings will be completed when the project is finished.

We are looking for you who want to lead and coordinate installation work with a primary focus on Electrical and Security. Together with other resources in the project, consultants, installation coordinators, and contractor(s), you are responsible for ensuring that Specialfastigheter's and the Correctional Service's requirements are met with the right functions at the right cost. Always keeping the operational perspective in mind, as we own and manage our properties over the long term. You represent Specialfastigheter in contact with the Correctional Service's project managers for side contracts within Tele & Security and are responsible for establishing relevant and clear boundaries for the installations. Special focus will be placed on understanding the complexity of door environments and technology related to these. Organizationally, you will belong to our operations site in Trelleborg.

Your main tasks will include:

• Coordinating prerequisites for door environments with high demands on security, operational reliability, and robustness, taking into account both the Correctional Service's and Specialfastigheter's interests and systems.
• Coordinating architecture, construction, electrical, security, fire safety, and IT in collaboration.

About You

We are looking for you who have many years of solid experience in installation management from both the contractor and client side. To succeed in the role, we see that you need to have worked on larger projects where a proactive and routine-driven approach is a must. You need to understand what it is like to work in a collaborative contract with an integrated organization with the contractor. Over time, the role will include different areas of responsibility and tasks, and you are expected to help colleagues as needed while maintaining control over your areas of responsibility. We also see that you have a natural aptitude for clear and successful communication.

To be successful in the role, you have:

• A technical education as a civil engineer or equivalent competence, which we assess as equivalent, acquired through long working life experience in a relevant field.
• Substantial experience in installation management/coordination with a proactive focus.
• Very good collaboration skills, and you value good relationships; the role requires close collaboration with contractors, consultants, the client, and other stakeholders. Both our own property organization and other support functions in the company.

Location

Your place of work is Trelleborg, but initially in Malmö at our temporary project office.

The Recruitment Process

We contact current candidates to schedule interviews on an ongoing basis during the application period, but since this coincides with the summer vacation period, this happens with some breaks. Feedback and answers to questions may therefore be delayed. Prior to a potential employment, we conduct a special security assessment where we perform a security interview and review final judgments from Swedish courts. Before employment, we also conduct alcohol and drug tests through our occupational health service. In addition, some of our customers sometimes require placement in a security class and subsequent register control in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585 Chapter 3).
