Job Description

We are looking for a new colleague for the Cost & Construction Management section within our Advisory market area.

The Advisory market area focuses on being by our customers' side and helping them with their biggest challenges at various stages of the construction process. We do this within our specialist areas: Information Excellence, Projects Solutions, Energy & Sustainable Building, and Cost & Construction Management.

AFRY Cost & Construction Management is the market leader in Sweden for cost calculations and economic management of projects, within both civil engineering, building, and installation. We carry out approximately 500 assignments annually consisting of consulting, cost assessments, calculations, cost control, cost monitoring, cost control, and cost efficiency improvements. Our work enables cost optimization and creates predictability for our customers and their economy.

We are now looking for a Project Engineer for the Cost & Construction Management section.

You will work with us to develop the organization and enable new market positioning. Within our market area, we are all passionate about our fields and share our knowledge to grow and learn more.

In the role of Project Engineer, you will drive assignments within your area of expertise. Through analysis and calculations, you will be a trusted advisor to our customers, such as clients, investors, and contractors, ensuring well-founded decisions can be made. In your role, you will work with everything from cost assessments in early stages, cost management during the design phase, economic monitoring of projects, project procurement, to identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to take the next step in your personal development and have experience from the construction industry. You likely come from the client, consultant, or contractor side and have worked as a project manager, site manager, contracting engineer, or estimating engineer. You have previous experience with some calculation software as well as quantity takeoff programs, for example, BidCon and Bluebeam. You also have knowledge and a strong interest in sustainability, as we use our tools to manage and reduce climate impact as a natural part of the projects we work on.

As a person, you have good social skills and are stimulated by having a large network where you create long-lasting and sustainable relationships. Furthermore, we see that you are meticulous and have the ability to see both details and the big picture. You thrive working in a team but also have the ability to work independently. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as required by our clients, and hold a B driver's license.
