We are now looking for a Ward Pharmacist Step 4 for the Pediatric Pharmacology Group, located within the neonatal operations in Solna. Here you will have the opportunity to combine clinical work with development, education, and quality improvement in a highly specialized operation.

About the position
The Pediatric Pharmacology Group currently consists of about twenty pharmacists, a pediatric nurse, a neonatologist, and a clinical pharmacologist/pediatrician. The group works for safe and appropriate medication use within pediatric care and is an important part of the highly specialized care at Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital.
As a Ward Pharmacist Step 4, you will have overall responsibility for the pharmaceutical work within the neonatal operations. In this role, you work closely with the care professions and contribute to the development of medication processes that strengthen patient safety for our youngest patients.
The assignment includes among other things:
- responsibility for quality and safety in the preparation of medications for newborns
- responsibility for and further development of information and IT systems related to medications within neonatal operations
- responsibility for onboarding and continuous competence development for pharmacists within the operation
- overall responsibility for onboarding new staff in medication management
- responsibility for risk analyses when introducing new medications and developing medication management within neonatal operations
- close collaboration with colleagues within pediatric care with expert knowledge in different therapy areas
The position is a permanent employment and will develop towards a Step 5 role in pharmaceutical neonatology.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- licensed pharmacist or licensed dispensing pharmacist with a master's degree in pharmacy
- several years of experience as a pharmacist in care
- very good knowledge of medication management and medication treatment
- very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- very good computer skills
Merits:
- previous assignments with increased responsibility in care
- several years of experience as a pharmacist within pediatric care
