Welcome to us
Sabbatsbergsbyn is a special housing facility with 106 apartments distributed across 11 units in three buildings. Nine units are for residents with diagnosed dementia, and two units are for those who, due to physical reasons, need care and support around the clock. Sabbatsbergsbyn is located in central Stockholm between S:t Eriksplan and Odenplan. It is a central elderly care facility in Vasastan with green areas nearby. In the Sensory Garden, we sometimes meet for barbecues, gymnastics, entertainment, and coffee breaks. We are currently looking for on-call nursing assistants.

Your role
As a nursing assistant, you will provide good care, social support, and service interventions to the elderly according to decisions made by social workers. You will help and support care recipients in their daily lives to promote their functional ability and assist with their social contacts. You are responsible for ensuring that the elderly participate in various activities and receive stimulation for their well-being, as well as offering opportunities for outdoor activities. You will also maintain contact with relatives, participate in care planning, and handle social documentation. You must follow the routines and regulations at the workplace. The position involves on-call work during days, evenings, and nights.
Your qualifications and experience
You must have:
- Protected professional title as a nursing assistant, or have started the process for this.
- At least 1–3 years of experience working in elderly care.
- Good experience with documentation.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Meritorious experience includes:
- Work experience with dementia care in elderly services.
We are looking for you who have a professional attitude towards users, relatives, and colleagues. Since you have frequent contact with people, it is important that you have good teamwork skills. We are looking for someone who takes responsibility in their work and is meticulous.
Other information
To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes for the City of Stockholm, you must show an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue, and you can apply for it on the Police website.
