Your Role

We are looking for a Section Manager for one of our electronics sections in Karlskoga. You will take over the leadership of an established operation with competent employees and play a key role in continuing to expand and develop the section, its working methods, and capabilities for the future.

This is a leadership role where you are responsible for both people and operations. You lead a group of electronic engineers while driving the section's continued development and growth in line with the business's needs.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead, develop, and create conditions for the section's employees to thrive, perform, and develop.
• Ensure that the section has the right competence and capacity over time through competence development and recruitment.
• Further develop working methods, processes, and collaboration forms to strengthen quality, efficiency, and innovation.
• Build strong networks and collaborations with colleagues, project managers, product managers, and other stakeholders within the organization.
• Contribute to the section's long-term development and ability to meet future technical and business needs.

What does the section do?

The section consists of electronic engineers who work with electronic design, verification, and development of advanced technical systems. The work is carried out in close collaboration with systems engineers, software developers, mechanical designers, production, and project management.

We work with both new development, product care, and production support in an operation where technical expertise is combined with high demands on quality and delivery capability.

In the role of Section Manager, you become an important part of the management group for Electronics and Software Engineering within Saab Dynamics' business unit Ground Combat and represent the area in dialogue with project managers, product managers, steering groups, and other stakeholders.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have experience in leading and developing technical operations. You have the ability to create engagement, build strong teams, and drive change and improvement in a complex operation where operational needs and strategic development constantly need to be balanced.

You have the ability to create structure and stability in your group and are a present leader who can both handle difficult conversations and simultaneously create engagement and direction. Your leadership is characterized by clarity, sensitivity, and a good balance between management and development.

It is natural for you to listen and understand people's motivations and needs, which makes you a good communicator with the ability to coordinate, create conditions for collaboration, and contribute to a sustainable work environment.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
