About the role

We are looking for two Construction Project Managers who want to drive and develop socially important property projects – from early stages to completed buildings.

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be part of the project operations within the technical and property management department of Botkyrka Municipality. The department consists of approximately 20 employees working on the municipality's construction and water/wastewater projects. In this role, you will work on complex construction projects and contribute technical expertise already during the detailed planning phase to ensure long-term sustainable solutions from an operation and maintenance perspective.

You lead projects through the entire process – from investigations and feasibility studies to design, procurement, implementation, and handover. The work involves coordinating various stakeholders, monitoring project goals, and ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with applicable laws, requirements, and decided frameworks. The assignment also includes contributing to the development of methods and processes within the project operations.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead projects from early investigations and feasibility studies to completion and handover
• Plan and lead construction projects within new production, renovation, and major maintenance
• Monitor project economics, schedules, and quality
• Develop schedules, budgets, and quality requirements
• Responsible for occupational health and safety work and conduct risk analyses
• Procure contractors and consultants, and call off services in accordance with the Public Procurement Act
• Prepare decision support materials, service statements, and project documentation
• Handle necessary building permit and detailed planning cases
• Maintain ongoing communication with various stakeholders, including tenants, property managers, and authorities.

In this role, you have overall responsibility for your projects and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. You are the hub of the network and need to be a good communicator who leads many towards a common goal. You report to the Unit Manager and contribute to developing methods within the project operations.

Requirements for experience and knowledge

• You have an education in construction engineering at least at the university degree level.
• You have at least 8 years of experience working as a public client or their representative in construction projects, of which at least 5 years as an independent Construction Project Manager where you have had overall responsibility and driven projects in various stages.
• You have been involved in the process of developing investigations, design work, and creating system and construction documents during the last 5 years.
• You have been responsible in the production phase from contractor procurement (according to the Public Procurement Act) to handover to operation and management, ensuring good delivery, during the last 5 years.
• Experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders, such as contractors, consultants, internal functions, and authorities.
• Experience in preparing decision support materials, service statements, or other project documentation in Swedish.
• Experience working in the digital project tool Antura Projects.
• You can communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
