Sigtuna Water & Sanitation AB is a municipally owned company that operates and develops water and sanitation (VA) and waste management activities in Sigtuna Municipality. The municipality is a future-oriented and growing community with approximately 52,000 residents living in one of our urban areas: Märsta, Rosersberg, Sigtuna town, or in our vibrant rural countryside. There are nearly 30,000 jobs in the municipality, of which 20,000 are at Arlanda Airport.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who want to help develop, maintain, and future-proof an important societal function. As a pipeline technician at Sigtuna Water & Sanitation, you will have a varied and independent job where no day is like the other.

Here, you will have great opportunities to influence your work and be involved in how we plan and develop operations. You will work both independently and together with engaged colleagues in a team consisting of six pipeline technicians and a supervisor. The work is based at our office in Märsta and covers the entire Sigtuna Municipality – a growing municipality with ambitious future plans and a socially vital water and sanitation operation.

In the role of pipeline technician, you work with the operation, maintenance, renewal, and development of the municipality's pipeline network and water and sanitation facilities. You are a key part of ensuring a safe and functioning water and sewage supply for the municipality's residents and businesses.

In the role of pipeline technician, you primarily work with practical field work where you, together with colleagues, are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's pipeline network. The work is varied and includes everything from planned maintenance measures to emergency actions during operational disruptions and water leaks.

The work includes, among other things:

• Supervision, maintenance, and measures on Sigtuna Water's pipeline network and associated water and sanitation facilities.
• Practical work with the pipeline network such as excavation, valve replacement, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Participation in renewal and development work on the pipeline network.
• Coordination of work together with other staff, contractors, and clients.
• Follow-up and documentation in GIS systems.
• Contact with subscribers, contractors, and the general public.
• Other tasks related to water and sanitation operations within Sigtuna Water.

In addition to the above responsibilities, you are expected to participate in training, seminars, and other development initiatives that strengthen both your competence and the development of Sigtuna Water's pipeline network and water and sanitation operations. We invest in competence development and would like to see you grow together with the operations through training and new areas of responsibility.

The position includes scheduled on-call duty.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have experience in operation and maintenance within water and sanitation (VA), or alternatively experience within pipeline networks, contracting, ground and construction work, or similar operations. You have a B-driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have experience working in GIS systems, a BE driver's license, or an operator's certificate for loaders or forklifts. If you have training in PE welding or a diploma course in pipeline networks, we see this as an extra plus.

A high school education is required for the position. As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and enjoy working both independently and with others. You like to take initiative, plan your work, and find practical solutions to the challenges that arise in everyday life. The role involves many contact surfaces, both internally and externally, which requires you to be service-oriented, communicative, and good at building relationships. You are receptive, flat-hierarchy, and contribute to good teamwork.
