Approximately 120 people work within the Rehabilitation area at Hässleholm Hospital, distributed across five different work teams responsible for all rehabilitation in both outpatient and inpatient care. Our area includes specialist clinics for pain rehabilitation, memory, and general rehabilitation, as well as an inpatient ward for rehabilitation medicine.

Job Description

Within our orthopedic operations, we work in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In inpatient care, we primarily focus on mobilizing, caring for, and monitoring patients after elective orthopedic procedures, emphasizing early mobilization. We also participate in various research projects. In outpatient care, we meet patients at different stages of their rehabilitation, including follow-up visits after joint replacements, referral assessments, and sports medicine complaints.

We are now welcoming a physiotherapist colleague to the Rehabilitation Area, Orthopedics department. As a physiotherapist, you will primarily work with the examination, assessment, and follow-up of patients with orthopedic problems. The role is varied and includes work on the orthopedic and day-surgery wards, as well as clinic work, mainly involving follow-up visits after orthopedic surgery. The clinic work may involve independent responsibility for radiological investigations, for which training will be provided. Group rehabilitation activities are also part of the role, and weekend shifts occur to some extent on the orthopedic ward.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist with the eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 on the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. We prefer that you have experience in clinical work as well as postoperative rehabilitation of joint replacements in the knee, hip, and shoulder, as well as after arthroscopic procedures in the knee and shoulder.

Patient co-assessment is common, so we look for someone who has an interest and experience in collaborating in interdisciplinary teams. It is meritorious if you have training in Step 1 and 2 in Sports Medicine or equivalent.
