Your Responsibilities
We are looking for an institutional technician/maintainer with photography and IT skills, as well as experience with IT networks, for the Hemse unit of Gotland Folk High School. Colleagues in the same field work at the Fårösund unit. The two units collaborate in various areas, meaning work can be performed in both locations.
As an institutional technician/maintainer at Gotland Folk High School, you are part of the entire school's operations and contribute to the school's activities and common development. You become part of the civic education community where the work is close to both participants and staff.
The position includes being responsible for the school's premises and equipment with ongoing maintenance. You will manage the school's fire safety checks, alarms, and lock systems, and assist staff with the school's IT equipment. Part of the role involves special responsibility for the analog and digital photography equipment used in the photography courses.
You handle matters through internal and external communication in meetings, emails, and phone calls. The position also includes ROT work (renovation and extension), handling bulky waste, ordering materials, park maintenance, and vehicle management.
Who Are You?
We see that you have a technical education and training in photography, at least a high school diploma, and experience with mechanical tasks. A category B driver's license is required for the position. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you have some knowledge of electricity and a broad technical background. Experience with grounds maintenance is also meritorious. We are looking for you with several years of experience with technical equipment in photography. You should be accustomed to handling various contact surfaces, such as staff, participants, administration, and the region.
We value a flexible and self-reliant person who thrives in collaboration, is structured, quality-conscious, and has the ability to find creative solutions to problems. You are stress-resistant and have a fundamentally flexible approach. No day is like the other.
Do you enjoy working independently and taking initiative? Are you an engaged and technically minded person with an interest in property and park maintenance? Are you a problem solver who appreciates varied tasks? Do you want to become part of a team where your ability to build relationships and communicate clearly makes a difference? Then this could be your chance for a new job.
With us, you will have the opportunity to develop your ideas in an inspiring environment, build relationships with colleagues and participants, and contribute to a service-oriented culture.
If you recognize yourself in this, do not hesitate – send in your application!
