The Project Department is currently responsible for the user-related construction investments of the Fortification Board. The department has approximately 225 employees today and is divided into 3 divisions with operational units, a project support unit, a staff unit, and a design unit.

The Project Support Unit is tasked with supporting the line organization in various complex projects and assignments with its specialist competence.

About the Position

As a Cost Estimator/Construction Economist, you support project managers, managers, and other departments with cost assessments and decision-making materials in projects related to total defense.

You will become a key figure in early stages, where your figures help us make smart and sustainable decisions.

You will, among other things:

• Compile and prepare cost estimates for major new construction and renovation projects
• Follow up on costs, analyze, and identify deviations.
• Compile experiences and key figures based on completed contracts
• Contribute to the development of working methods, templates, and cost models

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of documented experience in cost estimation within construction or civil engineering
• Relevant post-secondary education, e.g., construction/civil engineering, economics, or similar. Alternatively, experience we can assess as equivalent.
• Good proficiency in Excel and experience with the industry's most common cost or project tools
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing in Swedish
• Swedish citizenship

Location and Application

The position is located in Stockholm. Travel within Sweden may occur in the position.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be war-placed (mobilized for defense purposes). Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with register check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
