About the Municipality

We are responsible for ensuring that some of Täby Municipality's most important public services function 24/7, year-round. At Täby Municipality, we are in an expansion phase with several major urban development projects and continuous infrastructure development. We work in a newly built, state-of-the-art municipal office in Täby Centre, utilizing activity-based working. Then the position of Utility Technician (VA) at Täby Municipality might be right for you!

You will join a great team of 12 utility technicians, divided into two work groups: one focusing on technical service and the other on pump stations. The candidate we are looking for today will handle varied tasks and participate in both work groups. Your Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you will work to secure the drinking water supply for Täby by servicing and maintaining the underground city infrastructure. We influence and plan for the construction of a Täby that can meet tomorrow's challenges. We work with both daily maintenance of an urgent nature and preventive, long-term maintenance of our pipe networks and pump stations.

• All staff work daytime hours, and on-call duty is included in the position.

Working Hours

• Monday–Thursday: 06:30–16:00
• Friday: 06:30–13:00
• On-call duty included (every 5th–6th week)

During on-call duty, you have standby time and must be able to arrive at the workplace within 60 minutes.

Areas of Responsibility

As a Utility Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Maintenance and service of pipe networks and pump stations, e.g., maintenance flushing of water and sewage pipes.
• Conducting investigations and assessments.
• Water shut-offs.
• Repairs and inspections of the pipe network.

Your Profile

To succeed in the role of Utility Technician, we require:

• Several years of experience in operation and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities.
• Good computer skills and previous experience with operation and maintenance systems.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with flushing trucks.
• PE welding license.
• Training for road work (Level 1-3).
• Leak detection training.
• Category C driver's license.

About the Recruitment Process

Täby Municipality conducts recruitment based on competency-based methods. The recruitment process also includes various background checks to ensure quality.
