The splicing group in Karlskrona is expanding in line with the company's growth journey and is now looking for a fiber splicer for the 5-shift system.

A role with broad responsibilities

The splicing group performs tasks such as fiber splicing, fiber measurements, and connections. The work is primarily carried out with cable on reels, rotating devices, in machine lines, and during loading. As a fiber splicer, you will work in a 5-shift system where collaboration is a key part, while also being offered the opportunity to contribute to your own development within the field.

Curious, organized, and meticulous

We are looking for a person who is curious, motivated, and wants to grow in line with set goals. The work requires that you, as a fiber splicer, have the ability to follow given instructions and document performed work according to current routines. Structure and attention to detail characterize your work, while being disciplined, responsible, and adaptable aligns with your personal qualities. A large part of the tasks are manual, which presupposes that you are technically experienced and meticulous in your work. To thrive in the role, you are comfortable handling changes with short notice and enjoy working both in a group and independently.

Requirements and Merits

• Required training such as hot works, fall protection, forklift, and crane operation
• Fiber competence (FIMT/opto) combined with a few years of experience in the field
• Certification as a fiber technician
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of programs such as FastReporter
• ODF, loop boxes, OTDR. Tykoflex, End Cap welding, and End Sealing
• Fluency in Swedish and good knowledge of English
• Basic cable experience
• Experience working with TPM and 5S
