Your Role

As a Preparation Specialist, you work on both new construction and modification projects for submarines and surface vessels. You create work orders based on production documentation and plan for efficient production execution within the production facility's capabilities and processes. The completed preparation is handed over to production, and when it is time to start manufacturing, you provide support during the startup phase. Your daily work involves several cross-functional interfaces, and your day-to-day routine includes, in addition to continuous coordination with production personnel, often dialogue with Technical Preparers, Production Technicians, and Designers.

In your role as a Preparation Specialist, you possess broader knowledge at the interface between design and production. This means you can perform standard preparation tasks, but also create production adaptations of 3D models, assist in trial assembly, and implement various improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

As a person, you are curious and relationship-building, with a drive to find solutions that optimize production work. We are looking for you with a genuine interest in technology and who understands the importance of interacting and working cross-functionally to find the best answers to complex problems.

The following are considered requirements:

• Ability to correctly interpret and read drawings/documentation and requirements
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
• Strong technical interest and a curious approach
• Post-secondary technical education or equivalent work experience

The following experiences are considered meritorious:

• Experience within the marine, process, or manufacturing industry
• General material knowledge
• Skills in creating digital production documentation such as STEP files
• Experience working in ERM or similar business systems
• Participation in large-scale, complex development projects and operations

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
