As a Technician within OTR, you will have the opportunity to work in a varied role with developmental tasks, while becoming part of an engaged and knowledgeable team. The operations cover several different areas where work is carried out both during the day and in shift work (5-shift), depending on the department. If you have a strong interest in technology and thrive in an environment where collaboration, precision, and problem-solving are important, then this could be the right next step for you.

A role with broad responsibilities
Within OTR, routine tests are performed on all cables produced within the company. Responsibilities within the department include routine testing of land cables (high voltage testing, AC and DC), routine testing of submarine cables, fiber measurements, connections, and impulse tests. As a technician, you work with both assembly and advanced measurements. In addition to collaborating with your colleagues, you will have significant individual responsibility and opportunities to develop in the role.

Your responsibilities will include among other things:

• Test connections
• Assembly of cable accessories
• Quality assurance of our delivery cables
• Various electrical measurements

Since we perform a wide variety of electrical tests on cables and accessories, there are great opportunities to try and learn other tasks within the department.

• Fluent Swedish and English

Meritorious for the position:

• Upper secondary education in electrical engineering or similar
• Previous experience as an electrician or telecom technician
