About the Machine Operator role

As a machine operator at Manpower, working on-site at our client Saab, you will work in a heavy industrial environment where precision, safety, and technical competence are crucial. The role involves daily work with rolling, bending, and straightening steel in various thicknesses - from thinner materials to heavy plate up to 80 mm.

You will handle both small and large machines, as well as older and newer, modern machinery. The work requires good machine familiarity, very good ability to read and interpret drawings, and confidence in working with overhead cranes when handling large plates.

Examples of tasks:

• Rolled sheet metal in various thicknesses, up to 80 mm
• Bending and straightening of steel materials
• Work in rolling mills, press brakes, folders, and straightening presses
• Handling of large plates using overhead cranes
• Work based on technical drawings and specifications
• Ensuring quality and precision in the manufacturing process

The person we are looking for

We are looking for you who are an experienced and practical machine operator with a genuine interest in sheet metal processing. You are accustomed to physical work, thrive in an industrial environment, and have a high level of safety awareness. To succeed in the role, you need to be meticulous, responsible, and confident working both independently and in a team.

Requirements for the position

• Experience working with industrial machinery
• Valid overhead crane certificate
• Very good experience in reading drawings
• Good physical condition
• A clear interest in shaping and processing sheet metal

Meritorious

• Forklift license
• Experience working in heavy industry or similar production environments

The position requires that you undergo and pass the applicable safety protection regulations. For some roles, security clearance may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
