We are looking for a music pedagogue for the FMT program

Hallstahammar's Music School addresses all children and young people in the municipality. The children are at the center here. It is their joy, curiosity, and drive that shape and develop our operations. Here, children and young people can choose to play various instruments, dance, attend film lessons, and engage in music production. FMT (Adapted Music Pedagogical Training) is one of our branches of activity, which we conduct in close collaboration with special needs schools and their after-school centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Music School is looking for a pedagogue who has the ability to work flexibly based on the student's prerequisites, needs, and interests. You have a student-centered approach, and FMT is one of the tools in your toolbox. You collaborate with student health services, special needs schools, and their after-school centers to create music activities for children and young people with various types of functional variations. In most cases, you will receive your students through student health services and the school.

You can work independently in contact with students, guardians, and school staff, and you also collaborate with colleagues at the Music School where needed, based on the best interests of the children.

The position is 20% one day a week.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a music pedagogical education, are FMT trained, or have other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is a requirement.
