Subject Teacher in Biology and Chemistry at Fröviskolan 7–9

Fröviskolan 7–9 is a small and family-oriented secondary school with approximately 240 students, located in Frövi – just 15 minutes from Örebro by train. Here, students from Frövi, Fellingsbro, and Vedevåg meet in a safe environment where relationships, closeness, and engagement are at the center.

We are a school with a strong student focus and are currently working on a development project together with the Swedish National Agency for Education to become even better. Our student health team, along with social pedagogues, study and career counselors, and the school library, creates good conditions for both learning and well-being. At the same time, we offer a workplace with dedicated colleagues, visible leadership, and close collaboration within work teams.

Job Responsibilities

You will work as a subject teacher in Biology and Chemistry. You will teach a total of two groups in Year 7 and support students who require special needs assistance. If you apply for a 100% position, we can supplement the role with ongoing substitute teaching duties. The responsibilities include collaboration with colleagues as well as communication with students, guardians, and other authorities.

Together with your colleagues, you will participate in a multi-year development project (Targeted Interventions) aimed at developing teaching methods and increasing student goal achievement.

Qualifications and Merits

  • We are looking for you who are a certified primary/lower secondary school teacher for Years 7–9 with qualifications in Biology and Chemistry. Qualifications in other subjects are also considered a merit.
  • Practical experience in the teaching profession is desirable.

As a person, you are flexible and accustomed to planning your work independently. You are solution-oriented, have a holistic perspective, and are clear, confident, and creative. You have the ability to inspire our students and enjoy working in a team. You share your experiences to foster collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developmental, and stimulating learning environment.
