Your Responsibilities

Care work is an important, fun, and developing job. You provide support and help to people in their daily lives. Your workday will be filled with tasks that mainly consist of providing support, service, and care based on individual needs and goals for those we are there for.

This can include supporting personal care, such as intimate hygiene (body washing, showering, toilet visits) as well as dressing and undressing. It can also involve supporting daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, meal assistance, lifting and transferring, medication management, rehabilitation training, and other aspects of daily life.

It also involves creating joy and motivation in the lives of the individuals we serve through various activities, such as walks, excursions, barbecue evenings, coffee breaks, and conversations.

Balancing goals and needs with the individual's own wishes in a dignified manner, resulting in satisfied citizens, is what we call our core values.

You Who Apply

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in working with other people and providing service. You must be at least 18 years old and want to work with Sweden's most important job. It is an advantage if you have completed upper secondary education in care and nursing, child and youth care, psychiatry, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. We also prefer that you have experience working or interning in care and nursing, but other experiences and educations are also welcome.

As we are legally required to document our work, it is of great importance that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills. A Class B driver's license is also required in some operations.

Your Workplace

We have operations throughout the municipality and within several areas:

• Elderly Care: Here we work with supporting and caring for elderly individuals. You will work in one of our special housing units, in the short-stay unit, in home care services, or in our day activity center for people with dementia.
• Disability Support: Here we support people with functional variations who have decisions on interventions according to LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). We offer work in group homes, service apartments, personal assistance, and short-term activities for children and young people.

Employment

After employment, you will report your availability for work in our personnel system, Medvind. Your available time determines how much work you can get.
