Defence Health (FH) is the Swedish Armed Forces' integrated occupational health service. Defence Health Malmen is part of the Helicopter Wing and is responsible for occupational health services for all personnel within Linköping Garrison, healthcare for cadets and aircrew, as well as medical readiness during exercises.
Linköping Garrison has approximately 1,200 employees and consists of, among others, the Helicopter Wing, the Air Combat School, and F7 Transport and Special Operations.
As an aviation physician within Defence Health, you are one of the key personnel responsible for delivering qualified medical and occupational health services to our customers.
A large part of the work is within the field of aviation medicine. You also work with occupational safety, statutory examinations, work-oriented rehabilitation, medical assessments, and healthcare for recruits and cadets. You also participate in the development of Defence Health together with other staff.
You are part of our team consisting of doctors, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists/ergonomists, occupational safety engineers, and medical secretaries. It is a well-functioning team where everyone's specialist competence is utilized to the fullest. The atmosphere in the team is very good, and we support each other.
You promote a stable and trust-building work atmosphere, act with initiative and responsibility, and have a flexible attitude and good collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Specialist physician with at least five years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Trained as a civilian and military aviation physician. Trained as a diving physician.
Qualified to issue medical statutory examinations.
Completed compulsory military service and/or previous experience of service in the Swedish Armed Forces.
Experience of occupational health services and aviation medicine.
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
Personal Attributes
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Flexibility and good collaboration skills are prerequisites for the position.
Other Information
The position is primarily located at Malmen, Linköping, but duty at other locations may occur.
Working hours are 40 hours/week. The operations are conducted primarily on weekdays, but on-call duties may occur.
A six-month probationary period applies.

We also provide work-related healthcare for recruits and employees, maintain medical readiness during military exercises, and are an integrated part of the unit's combined operations.
