The Habilitation Service is a specialist unit offering interventions to children, young people, and adults with motor and intellectual disabilities, as well as to their relatives and networks. The Habilitation Service in Östergötland is a county-wide clinic comprising approximately 120 employees, with operations in Linköping, Norrköping, and Motala. We are now looking for two additional psychologists for our child teams, one based in Linköping and one in Norrköping.

Job Description

The psychologist's work at the Habilitation Service is varied and includes both teamwork and profession-specific tasks. The aim of the work is to develop abilities, promote participation and quality of life, and prevent ill health. As a psychologist in our child teams, you primarily work with the assessment of young children with suspected autism and/or intellectual disability, but the work also includes treatment interventions directed at both children/young people and their parents/networks. The treatment work includes, among other things, conversations with children, young people, and parents, psychoeducation, as well as mapping and analysis of behavioral problems. The work also involves providing information, education, and consultation regarding various disabilities, as well as contributing psychological perspectives at multiprofessional treatment conferences.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have a special interest in the target group of the Habilitation Service!

We would like you to have experience working with people with various forms of disabilities, have experience and interest in assessment work and differential diagnostics, and have good ability to give feedback on assessment results both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are secure and stable. You are solution-focused, take initiative, and take responsibility for driving your work forward. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in teams. You are interested in improvement and change work. The Habilitation Service's way of working is based on teamwork, which requires that you are a good team player, which is why personal suitability is given great weight.
