Vittra Schools is one of Sweden's leading independent school companies with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8,000 children and students and employ around 1,000 staff. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest education company in the Nordics, since 2008. Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are formed who receive the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We achieve this through our unique pedagogical approach based on three parts: conscious learning, brave culture, and clear structure.
Vittra Örebro has been a newly established school operation since August 2022, with 153 students distributed across grades 6–9. The school is located at Karlsgatan 30, centrally in Örebro. For the academic year 2026–27, we are looking for a qualified teacher in Home and Consumer Studies for grades 6–9 at 50%. This position can be combined with another subject.
About Vittra
At Vittra, you will encounter a business with strong commitment, high quality, and plenty of joy. You will work in a stimulating and secure environment, fostering close pedagogical relationships between adults and children. At Vittra, we have high expectations of ourselves and our collaborative work, which is based on collegial learning and the individual needs of the student. Together, we build a secure and challenging environment where everyone develops based on their own prerequisites, both students and adults.
At Vittra, we believe in conscious learning, a brave culture, and education rooted in society, where students engage with the community outside of school in various ways. In our teaching, we weave in current social issues and explore what happens beyond the school walls. This is done, among other things, in connection with local and global goals. At our school, it is important that students practice and learn to think for themselves, express themselves, and become more aware of their learning and development.
What we are looking for
We are looking for you who are a certified and qualified teacher in Home and Consumer Studies for grades 6–9 and who, together with future colleagues and new students, want to contribute to a positive school culture at Vittra Örebro.
You need to be a secure and clear leader with a focus on student goal achievement. We see you as a teacher who builds your teaching on close pedagogical relationships with students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, needs, and abilities.
At Vittra, we strive for a cross-curricular approach that gives students a holistic view and understanding of how different subjects and reality are connected. To enable such meaning-making regarding learning and development, you will belong to a working team, and it is important that you are interested in participating in and contributing to collegial learning.
What we offer
We offer a developing work environment with many career paths. Vittra has an educational program consisting of various external courses as well as internal training, including a leadership development program for team leaders and networking meetings for lead teachers.
