About the Job

In this position, you will serve as a support function to researchers within the experimental activities at the Center for Social and Affective Neuroscience (CSAN). The research conducted focuses on neurobiological mechanisms, underlying affective disorders, and addiction.

Your responsibilities will include project coordination, recruitment of participants, brain stimulation using temporal interference, and data collection (questionnaires, behavioral experiments, eye movements, skin conductance, functional magnetic resonance imaging).

About You

We are looking for someone with a Master's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.

The applicant is expected to have good theoretical knowledge of, and a strong interest in, socio-affective neuroscience and its application in psychiatry, as well as previous experience in experimental human research.

Documented ability to collect, process, and analyze behavioral and physiological data is a requirement. More specifically, experience with computerized cognitive tasks, as well as measuring eye movements and skin conductance, is required.

Experience with brain stimulation using temporal interference is also a requirement.

It is particularly advantageous if the applicant has experience collecting data using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and good knowledge of specific software (Presentation, Biopac, DataViewer, R, SPSS).

The applicant is expected to have very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of Swedish.

We are looking for a responsible and engaged person with good initiative and communication skills. You should be able to work both independently and in collaboration with others. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities and suitability.

Your Workplace

You will work at CSAN (https://liu.se/forskning/csan), which integrates knowledge and methods from various areas of neuroscience, both basic and clinical. CSAN brings together research groups within adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurobiology, clinical neurophysiology, and neuroeconomics.

About the Employment

The employment is for a fixed term of one year. The position is full-time.

Start date: 2026-09-01. Selection process begins in week 29.
