About the role:

As an operational shift leader, you have overall responsibility for leading, distributing, and following up on work during your shift.

The position is during day shifts, and you report directly to the Production Manager. Your main task is to ensure that the company delivers according to the production plan, while maintaining a safe, structured, and pleasant working environment. You serve as the employees' first point of contact for issues such as machine stoppages and general production-related questions, acting as a vital link between production, the production coordinator, and production management.

You have a good technical understanding of machine processes, industrial working methods, and production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Planning: Lead and follow up on operators' work during the shift. Prioritize and distribute tasks, and conduct daily briefings at the start of the shift (and ensure handover to the next shift). Manage personnel movement as needed in the absence of the Production Manager.
• Safety First: Promote a safe workplace, ensure safety routines are followed, and report and follow up on near misses and accidents. You have the authority and right to stop risky work.
• Quality & Efficiency: Ensure quality requirements are met, monitor blocked goods/returns, and lead the development and follow-up of the machinery's OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Order & Structure: Drive the 5S work for order and cleanliness. Create and follow up on work instructions together with the Production Manager.
• Material & Logistics: Order and ensure timely access to tools and consumables (e.g., strapping, slings, cutting discs, lubricants, etc.).
• Culture & Personnel: Be a role model for good camaraderie and teamwork. Monitor adherence to schedules and handle sickness absence notifications, replacing staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Documented leadership experience.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English (both spoken and written).
• Valid Crane and Forklift License A+B (experience with wheel loaders is highly meritorious).
• Valid Driver's License Category B.
• Good understanding and experience with machine processes and industrial production.
• Training in and experience working with 5S methodology.
