Main Responsibilities

If you want overall responsibility for one or several departments and to lead employees, the role of Team Leader in the Grocery Department is the perfect fit. Here is what it entails to be a Team Leader at Hemköp:

  • You are responsible for purchasing and sales, as well as ensuring the department achieves our jointly set goals.
  • You are responsible for ensuring customers have a great experience with us. The customer is at the heart of our business, making daily customer contact vital for creating a positive store experience.
  • Together with your team, you will secure profitability, ensure procedures are followed, and monitor gross profit and sales.
  • As a Team Leader, you have personnel responsibility. This includes ensuring employees receive the right information, develop, and thrive, as well as ensuring smooth operations in the store. You will also be part of the store's management group.

Employment Terms

The position is a permanent full-time role, subject to a probationary period. Start date: By agreement.

Working hours vary between early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Being food-interested, driven in sales, and enjoying working with people are prerequisites for the role. Specifically, we expect the following from you as a Team Leader at Hemköp:

  • You have knowledge of the products within your area of responsibility.
  • You understand basic economic key figures and have experience working in a retail environment.
  • Your leadership is crucial. You are good at explaining procedures, describing goals, and identifying challenges.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can delegate tasks, give and receive feedback, and are not afraid to drive change.
