Do you want to develop within Supply Planning? Apply for the role of Supply Planner at a major retail chain. You will manage the flow of goods ahead of the crucial autumn season and become a key person in a great team!

About the role

Academic Work is currently looking for a structured and relationship-building Supply Planner for one of the leading retail companies in the Nordics. The company has over 240 department stores, and you will be based at their headquarters in northern Stockholm.

In this role, you will become a key person during the company's most intense and exciting period – the autumn and Christmas seasons. You will be part of one of three well-knit teams and work closely with Inbound and Demand Planners. Together, you will focus on how goods are moved from the central warehouse to the stores to maintain a high service level and strong product availability.

This is a full-time consultancy position through Academic Work. The assignment lasts for 6 months, starting in August and running until January 31, 2027. Working hours are primarily office hours. The company applies a flexible hybrid model where you are expected to be in the office for the majority of the days.

What we offer

Our client offers a dynamic, high-paced work environment where you will have significant responsibility and the opportunity to work with complex flows in a large-scale operation during their most important seasons.

Responsibilities

As a Supply Planner, you are primarily responsible for planning, monitoring, and ensuring the replenishment of goods to the stores. You are also the central contact person and support for the company's approximately 240 stores regarding replenishment-related issues.

  • Plan and optimize the supply of goods from the warehouse to the stores to maintain a high service level.
  • Actively participate in assortment reviews (e.g., ahead of autumn and Christmas) and ensure that promotional items reach the stores in the correct volume and at the right time.
  • Conduct analyses and provide decision support for the effective introduction and phase-out of articles.
  • Communicate and drive important issues within Supply Planning and manage your own meeting slots during operational meetings.
  • Take initiative to create good collaboration with other departments and stores.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a post-secondary education in economics, logistics, or purchasing – or equivalent experience from a similar role.
  • Has good system skills and good knowledge of Excel. You should be comfortable with basic formula handling and pivot tables.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

  • Have a background directly from department store operations or retail.
  • Have an understanding of the supply chain.
  • Have experience with the RELEX system.

To succeed and thrive in the role, we see that you are someone who remains calm even when the pace picks up. You are structured, proactive, and stress-resistant, which means you do not get unnecessarily stressed during the intense autumn season. Since the role involves many contact points, you are very social, communicative, and skilled at building strong relationships.

Our recruitment process

This recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, and our client's request is that all questions regarding the position are sent to Academic Work.

We apply rolling selection and will remove the ad when enough candidates have reached the final stage of the recruitment process. A CV is required when applying. We do not use cover letters as a selection method, so one is not needed. The recruitment process includes two selection tests: a personality test and a cognitive ability test. The tests are a tool to find the candidate with the highest potential for the role and to promote equality, diversity, and a fair recruitment process.
