About the role

As an employee at Hornbach, you represent our brand and serve as a role model in terms of engagement, drive, and customer service. We are currently looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our Carpets & Lighting department.

Your main responsibilities will focus on sales and customer advisory. Thanks to your product knowledge and sales skills, you’ll ensure customers can successfully complete their projects.

Typical tasks include

• Active sales of our carpet and lighting product range
• Opportunities to be inspired, learn from colleagues, and exchange in-depth knowledge and experience within the category
• Responsibility for incoming goods, merchandising, as well as department setup and layout changes
• Analyze and optimize the department’s product presentation
• Provide support on other departments when needed

Your profile

• Upper secondary education or equivalent, plus experience in retail
• Relevant professional experience or training in lighting and carpets
• Passion for delivering the best possible customer service
• Ability to guide customers through our wide product range to bring their projects to life
• Resilient, flexible, and solution-oriented personality
• Good physical fitness, as some tasks require lifting heavier items
• Forklift license (A1–A4 & B1–B4) is a plus

Working hours/Duration: Fixed-term contract. Part-time, 30 hours/week. Scheduled shifts during days and evenings, alternating weekends.

Salary: Salary according to collective agreement.
