Welcome to Norberg, the small municipality with the big heart. Our operations reflect a high level of commitment among staff, short decision-making paths, and a strong sense of community. If you want to be part of this, you are warmly welcome.
Engelbrektsskolan is a school for grades 4–9 with approximately 350 students and 55 employees. The school is organized into two work teams and several subject teams.
You will work in an environment where collaboration and support among colleagues are second nature, making it easier to share ideas and develop together.
We are looking for you who are engaged and passionate about teaching, and who want to contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
In the role of Music Teacher for grades 5–9, you will work to develop students' knowledge and skills based on the national curriculum, taking into account each student's unique needs and prerequisites. You will plan teaching by setting clear goals, choosing effective methods and materials, and preparing inspiring lessons.
You will conduct assessments and provide feedback on students' performance and progress. It is natural for you to promote a positive learning climate where students feel seen and heard. As a class mentor, you will have a good overall view of the students' development together with a colleague.
As a teacher with us, you are also part of a continuous learning process. Together with the students, you evaluate the teaching to improve both their learning and your own pedagogical development. You will also participate in the school's development work and actively contribute to the school environment and community.
We are looking for you with a teaching license and eligibility to teach music in grades 5–9.
We value strong pedagogical ability, where you can create an educational and stimulating environment for our students. As a teacher, you are calm, secure, and stable, with the students and their goal achievement in focus. In the classroom, you have clear leadership and can communicate your expectations to students effectively.
We also see that you have the ability and desire to develop your subject area, together with colleagues in cross-subject working methods. It is important that you have good collaboration skills, where you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are expected to have good IT skills to participate in the school's ongoing digital journey, and to be curious and driven in the development of the operations.
We would like you to be a person who shares values such as community and commitment, and who is willing to contribute to the development of our school and the students' future.
With us, you have the opportunity to truly make a difference in our students' lives. We value every employee's contribution and believe in the importance of a supportive work climate where everyone can grow and develop. In addition to stimulating work where your effort is valued, you as an employee of Norberg Municipality are offered benefits such as a fitness allowance, a bike benefit, and the opportunity to donate blood during paid working hours.
For those offered employment with us, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the police record) is required according to the Act on Register Control.
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the last application date.
If you have a protected identity, we ask that you do not submit your application digitally. Instead, contact the recruiting manager directly for further instructions on how to submit your application securely. If you do not have the contact details for the recruiting manager, you can contact HR via the switchboard at 0223-290 00, and they will help you get in touch with the right person.
