About the role

Are you interested in sports and outdoor activities and passionate about delivering top-class customer service? We are now looking for an engaged and positive employee who will join a fast-paced and dedicated team in our store Sportshopen in Jönköping! Here, we are driven by the desire to constantly improve and to offer the best service to our customers.

Responsibilities

We offer a fun job with a high tempo and varied tasks. In addition to good customer service and sales, the tasks include cash register work, signage, price marking, unpacking, and restocking goods. An important part of the job is also keeping the store tidy and ensuring that the right product is in the right place.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience working in retail, preferably from the sports industry. You should be good at communicating your knowledge to colleagues and customers, and we would like you to have a good sense for product display and be able to handle large product flows.

Conditions

The position is a temporary assignment divided into two periods.

The first period is a summer temporary position at 50% employment, running from 29/6/2026 to 9/8/2026. After that, the position changes to a 70% temporary assignment extending until 31/12/2026, with a chance of extension.

We apply wages according to the collective agreement with the Swedish Union for Shop and Office Employees (Handelsanställdas förbund).

We may conduct credit checks as well as extract records from the criminal register of the applicant.

Swedemount Sportswear & Fashion AB was founded in 1991 and today has 23 stores under the name Sportshopen as well as one store under the name Bazar. In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 sqm automated warehouse and offices. In Grebbestad on the west coast, we also have our headquarters and our largest store, which is the largest sports store in the Nordics at 14,000 sqm.

Our stores are located throughout Sweden, from north to south, with an growing e-commerce presence that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is today one of the larger individual players in Sweden in terms of sales within sports and leisure. Our assortment consists mainly of clothes and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands – clothes that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
