The Water and Wastewater (VA) Department is responsible for innovation, development, renewal, and operation of Gotland's water and wastewater facilities. This includes, among other things, water intakes, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, as well as pipe networks and infrastructure.

Your responsibilities
As a Plant Operator, you will become part of an engaged team responsible for the operation, supervision, and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities with a focus on wastewater across Gotland. You will work both independently and together with colleagues to ensure that our facilities function optimally.
Your main responsibilities include the operation, monitoring, and optimization of water and wastewater plants and associated facilities such as pump stations and LTA stations. Sampling and follow-up to ensure high quality and compliance with current legal requirements. Troubleshooting, simpler repairs, and preventive maintenance of operating equipment. Follow-up and documentation of the facilities' functions as well as administrative work related to the operation.
You will also be able to contribute to development projects and other assignments within the department.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education in plant operation technology or other education and experience that we assess as equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have experience from water and wastewater operations or industrial operations. You have knowledge in control and regulation technology and feel confident working with computer-based systems. Good knowledge of the Office package is a prerequisite, and you easily adapt to new systems and software.
As a person, you are flexible, thorough, and analytical, with a clear focus on quality and results. You enjoy working independently, while also having good collaboration skills and appreciating working together with others.
We value that you are social, outgoing, and solution-oriented. A positive attitude, curiosity, and the ability to take initiative are qualities that will help you succeed in the role.
