Production Manager for expanding Thomson Linear AB – Kristianstad

Are you a skilled leader with a strong interest in technology? Do you enjoy coaching and motivating your team while being technically knowledgeable and loving to solve problems and improve processes? Then read on! Thomson Linear is now looking for a Production Manager responsible for machining. You take full responsibility for your team and the machining operations, where leadership as well as understanding of technology, production, and machinery are important parts of the job. You are offered an exciting role where you become a key cog in a dynamic company!

You build a strong and quality-conscious team and collaborate with other departments within the company to maintain quality and ensure that we strive towards common goals. The department consists of 15-20 employees, and the machines mainly consist of CNC-controlled Mazak lathes and 5-axis milling machines. You work with key performance indicators (KPIs) and are responsible for daily morning meetings and updates. You compile daily and monthly statistics based on the KPIs and, after analysis, develop action plans. You also drive and actively participate in improvement projects.

The role requires you to be structured, goal-oriented, and have an easy time building relationships. You report to the Production Manager and become an important representative for the company and the values it stands for.

• Leading and distributing work within your team and driving competence development
• Driving and actively participating in improvement projects in collaboration with other departments
• Being responsible for the work environment and safety issues
• Being responsible for development discussions, salary reviews, and other personnel matters
• Ensuring routines and efficient work processes with a focus on high quality

Your profile

We are looking for you who have experience from a leading position within production. You also have good knowledge of LEAN and preferably experience working in manufacturing or process industry. You likely have a technical education, and it is an advantage if you have experience with machining. Experience with the business system Oracle is also a plus.

You are a clear and structured leader who inspires trust and can inspire and engage your employees with a coaching leadership style. You have good collaboration skills, are good at communicating, and know how to build a well-functioning team. At the same time, you have great integrity, thrive in a high-paced work environment, and are driven by achieving results.

About the position

The position is a permanent full-time role, primarily during daytime hours. Location in Kristianstad.
