Do you want to work at the forefront of technology and contribute to advanced production within the defense and marine industry? We are now looking for a Specialist Preparer in machining for an exciting assignment with one of our clients.

The assignment starts as a consultancy role via Jefferson Wells, with good opportunities for transition into employment with the client in the long term.

About the role

In the role of Specialist Preparer, you will be a key player in converting design documentation into efficient production solutions. You are involved throughout the entire chain – from planning and preparation to support during production startup.

You work on projects related to both new production and modification of advanced marine systems, ensuring that production can be carried out in a structured and efficient manner.

The role involves close collaboration with several functions, such as production, design, and production engineering, which requires both technical understanding and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and quality-assure work instructions and work orders
• Plan and adapt production flows based on business conditions
• Participate in manufacturing startup and support production in execution
• Collaborate with technical functions and contribute to holistic solutions
• Adapt and further develop production documentation, including 3D models
• Participate in tests, trial assemblies, and improvement work

The role combines operational work with a more developmental perspective where you contribute to streamlining processes and working methods.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in technology and experience in preparation within the manufacturing industry, preferably with a connection to mechanical machining. You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, collaborate broadly, and contribute to solutions in a complex environment.

You have a few years of experience in the field and feel confident working independently. At the same time, you have the ability to see the big picture and contribute your expertise to the team, for example by supporting colleagues or taking responsibility for parts of the work.

As a person, you are curious, structured, and solution-oriented. You have an easy time building relationships and are driven by improving and simplifying working methods.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and production documentation
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• Post-secondary technical education or equivalent experience
• Interest in production, technology, and improvement work

Merits

• Experience from workshop, process, or marine industry
• Knowledge of materials science
• Experience with digital production documentation (e.g., STEP files)
• Familiarity with business or ERP systems
• Experience working in larger, complex project environments

The position may be subject to security clearance, which may entail citizenship requirements.
