Alfa Laval in Ronneby is looking for a Measurement Technician for a new measurement room/lab

Do you want to be part of launching a completely new process and securing quality in our production? Are you a driven and analytical measurement technician passionate about development and technology? Then this is your chance to become a key person in our team at Alfa Laval in Ronneby!

About the role

As a measurement technician, you will have a central role in our new measurement room/lab. You will be an important part of the startup phase and will work with the latest equipment arriving in Ronneby. You will be responsible for measuring, verifying, and documenting measurement results according to requirements and specifications, while contributing to developing and securing processes from the start.

You will collaborate with production, R&D, engineering, and quality teams, and support colleagues with measurement knowledge and training. In your work, you will use everything from manual measuring tools to advanced equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and 3D scanners.

Main responsibilities

  • Work with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) equipped with 3D scanners
  • Handle CAD models as reference material
  • Program CMMs
  • Perform measurement and inspection of parts according to drawings and specifications
  • Conduct first-article inspections, spot checks, and final inspections
  • Generate and document measurement reports
  • Ensure order, calibration, and supervision of measuring equipment together with the team

Who are you?

You are meticulous, analytical, and have a structured way of working. You are service-minded, possess good communication skills, and enjoy supporting colleagues. You wish to develop within measurement technology and want to help build new measurement processes.

Required qualifications

  • Very good knowledge of reading technical drawings
  • Ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Understanding of tolerances and technical specifications
  • Experience with CMM measurement and creating measurement programs in PC-DMIS
  • Good computer skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and English

Preferred experience

  • Experience with 3D scanning and analysis
  • Experience with Hexagon coordinate measuring machines
  • Six Sigma certification or knowledge
