Product Manager - Surface Combatants

Your Role

You will become part of a growing team of product managers working with the entire product lifecycle for surface ships. You will work closely with our customers as well as other parts of our entire organization. The primary purpose of the role is to support the Swedish customer in increasing the operational availability of the Navy's ships.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Drive product management within the sustainment business towards the Swedish customer
• Responsible for the products' configuration and capabilities
• Secure ongoing and future business and responsible for the product's profitability
• Develop long-term product and capability plans for each product
• Support the product owner and aftermarket manager in their commitments and responsibilities
• Collaborate with other Saab units and suppliers providing systems for our surface ships
• Responsible for the product content in the offers we submit to our customers

You will report to the Head of Strategy & Portfolio at Business Unit Surface Ships. Your location will be at our office in Karlskrona or Lund.

Business travel to primarily Lund, Karlskrona, and Stockholm occurs.

Your Profile

To be successful in the role, we believe you have extensive experience in product management or product development. We prefer that you have a university degree in engineering or economics. It is highly meritorious if you have knowledge and background from military surface ships. You take responsibility for completing tasks on time and with high quality. We also believe you enjoy coordinating activities, teams, and customer relationships that manage the entire lifecycle. Furthermore, you possess excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.

Above all, you are driven and reliable with good ability to collaborate and communicate. You have the capacity to create and develop structures as well as identify areas for improvement. You do not hesitate to think outside the box and are driven by solving complex problems together with your colleagues. Your ability to bring together members from different disciplines around common goals is strong, and this is where your communication skills come in handy.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
