Security and Preparedness Staff (ESB)
This unit is led by the agency's Security Chief. ESB is a governing and supportive function working within several different areas, such as information security, physical security, security protection, and total defense. The overall mission is to ensure that the Swedish Transport Administration's assets receive the necessary protection, and to ensure crisis management capabilities and planning for heightened readiness. Generally, ESB focuses heavily on supporting management, managers, and employees with strategies, guidelines, routines, training, and advice. The unit consists of 15 people, and you will work closely together with all case officers. We are now looking for a security case officer for central-level work in an exciting agency with a mission of importance to Sweden. Depending on your background, a comprehensive induction program will be offered to help you settle into the role.
The position is located in Norrköping, and travel is involved.
Job Responsibilities
Your mission as a Security Case Officer is to contribute to ensuring that the Swedish Transport Administration's assets receive the necessary protection, thereby developing collaboration and supportive processes. The role involves both strategic and operational security issues, and you will interact with operations where high confidentiality requirements exist.
In the role of Security Case Officer, you will:
- Provide advice and recommendations focused on physical security to ensure the agency's assets receive the necessary protection.
- Identify, initiate, lead, and actively participate in initiatives to improve security.
- Coordinate your work with other units responsible for other areas, e.g., systematic fire protection, technical security systems, and reception.
- Be responsible for and coordinate work with our existing security guard provider and collaborate with the Procurement Department regarding tenders.
- Handle and provide support in the event of security incidents.
- Develop governing and supportive documents.
- Conduct training and represent ESB in internal and external forums.
Depending on your competence, other tasks may be added.
Your work is anchored and conducted in close collaboration with operations and relevant central functions.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has…
- Security training from a university, college, or university college, or alternatively relevant education for the area that we assess as equivalent.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in security work, or alternatively service as a police officer / military personnel.
- Experience in conducting training with both theoretical and practical content.
- Good knowledge of both Swedish and English.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience in work focused on physical security.
- Experience working in the public sector.
- Experience with security protection.

This recruitment is for a permanent position expected to be filled as soon as possible.
The Swedish Transport Administration may apply a six-month probationary period.
The position may involve wartime assignment at the Swedish Transport Administration.
The position may require Swedish citizenship. Security screening with register check may be conducted before an employment offer is made.
