Do you want to work in a technically advanced environment where you help develop the production of the future? Jefferson Wells is now looking for a Production Technician with a focus on fixture design for an exciting consulting assignment with one of our clients in the high-tech industry.

About the role
In this role, you work closely with the project organization to develop and optimize production. You drive improvement work related to production methods, layouts, and investments, and are responsible for developing fixtures and technical aids for complex manufacturing.

Your main responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and develop production methods within sheet metal forming, welding, and machining
• Create layouts for production flows and facilities
• Drive investment and implementation projects
• Ensure and document technical requirements and process capability

Fixture Design

• Develop technical solutions such as fixtures, tools, lifting equipment, and special equipment
• Contribute to design reviews with a focus on manufacturability
• Create manufacturing documentation and purchase specifications
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing and implementation phases

Your profile
We are looking for you who are an engaged and solution-oriented technician with strong drive and a genuine interest in production and design. You thrive both in collaboration with others and in independent work, where you take responsibility and drive your tasks forward with a structured approach. With your goal-oriented attitude and analytical skills, you easily identify opportunities for improvement and translate them into practical solutions. You have good teamwork skills, while being self-reliant and confident in making your own decisions, and your strong technical understanding allows you to quickly grasp complex contexts.

We are looking for someone who has
3–7 years of experience in the field with a high level of competence, with the ability to work independently, take responsibility for defined sub-areas, and lead small groups. Alternatively, you have 8+ years of experience and possess a very high level of competence, with experience in driving larger assignments and taking overall responsibility for team leadership.

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience in production technology work within the manufacturing industry
• Experience in mechanical design/fixture design
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming, welding, and machining
• Experience in creating production layouts
• Good understanding of project work and follow-up
• Experience in job production or shipbuilding industry
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
• Experience with Windchill and/or Creo Parametric
