We are now looking for a Mechanic to join our maintenance organization within Media Maintenance.

As a Mechanic in Maintenance, you are responsible for performing planned and corrective maintenance on our facilities. You work closely with coordinators, maintenance technicians, and production teams to ensure operational reliability at the lowest possible cost – always with safety as the top priority.

The role is varied and combines practical work in the facility with analysis, improvement projects, and digital reporting.

You report to the nearest Maintenance Manager and collaborate daily with coordinators and technicians within the maintenance department.

Your main responsibilities

• Perform daily, preventive, and corrective maintenance on our media facilities.
• Daily supervision, rounds, and fault resolution.
• Perform FU/FLT (Follow-Up/Follow-Through) and document work in SAP.
• Actively participate in improvement, analysis, and safety work.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of summer shutdowns, annual shutdown plans, and shutdown days.
• Report deviations and safety incidents in our systems (SAP, Mia, Centuri, etc.).
• Participate in safety rounds, pulse meetings, and improvement meetings.
• Contribute to technical investigations related to disruptions, near-misses, and accidents.
• Act as an internal trainer and knowledge support within the maintenance organization.
• Work according to Uddeholm’s standards (UPS), process maps, and safety routines.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance.
• Experience in troubleshooting as well as preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• IT and system proficiency, as well as experience with digital reporting.

• Good knowledge of gases and their applications.
• Training in forklift and overhead crane operation.
• Training in mobile work platforms and fall protection.
