We are now looking for two benefit caseworkers for the authority unit.

About the operations

At the authority unit, caseworkers are responsible for decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and housing adaptation (The Act on Housing Adaptation).

Job responsibilities

As a benefit caseworker, you work with the elderly and people with disabilities. Your main tasks are to investigate and assess individuals' needs for interventions from social services based on applications and reports, as well as follow up on approved interventions. Within LSS, you are responsible for investigating, assessing, and deciding on interventions for children and adults with disabilities, and in social psychiatry, you work to support adults with mental health issues to receive the right interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL).

The work includes collaboration with internal and external partners, home visits, and discharge planning from inpatient care. You will be responsible for your own cases, based on our case distribution. We map needs according to IBIC and use the business system Life Care.

On the unit, we also investigate and assess the need for transport services and national transport services, so such tasks may occasionally occur.

Tasks regarding the reception of cases also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or an equivalent higher education degree that the employer deems suitable.

You understand the importance of lawful and efficient case processing, with assurance of the individual's right to reasonable living conditions, of course taking into account self-determination and privacy from the user's perspective.

We place great importance on personal suitability and assume that you collaborate well with others, both relatives and providers and colleagues. You have a respectful attitude with a focus on motivating the individual to interventions and own activities. You have good analytical skills, care about legal certainty, and are good at expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. As a person, you enjoy working independently and in a group, are structured, and have a solution-focused approach.

A B-driver's license is required.

• Experience in exercising authority within elderly care, LSS (adults and children), and social psychiatry.
