We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a boy of just over 4 years old who lives with his family in Örebro. Getting to know the boy and his family is a prerequisite for the assistance to function in the best possible way. The boy needs 24/7 assistance. He receives help with breathing via a tracheostomy cannula and is susceptible to infections.

As an assistant with us, you will receive thorough introduction and training in the medical tasks. The tracheostomy training takes place at Örebro University Hospital, while the rest of the introduction involves shadowing to get to know the boy and your duties.

Working as a personal assistant means working in someone else's home, and it is important that you are attuned to the family's needs. You should be able to work independently but also in collaboration with other assistants and the boy's parents. We are looking for someone with personal suitability for the assignment. For us, it is important that you are responsible and meticulous in carrying out your tasks according to instructions. It is also important that your personality contributes to creating a calm and secure environment in the home.

These are the requirements we see for working as an assistant in this assignment:

• You master Swedish in both speech and writing.
• You are non-smoking.

Additionally, it is meritorious if you also:

• Are a trained nursing assistant (undersköterska).
• Have previously documented experience with tracheostomy.

About the position

The position is initially a temporary hourly contract. Working hours for this assignment vary and include shifts during the day, evening, night, and weekends. We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement, as well as other benefits according to the collective agreement. The selection process is ongoing, and more information will be provided during a potential interview. Start date is by agreement.

For employment with Novum Assistance, you must have a BankID and approve the use of your BankID in the service. According to law (2010:479) regarding register control of personnel who are to perform certain interventions for children with disabilities, we as employers are required to request a certificate of good conduct from all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. The certificate must be submitted to us as the employer before the employment begins. You order the certificate yourself according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) from the police.
