We are delighted that you are interested in working as a Leisure Centre Teacher with us at Mandaskolan F-6!

Mandaskolan has students from preschool class through to year 6, as well as a leisure centre (fritidshem). The school is located on Bergnäset, approximately 3.5 km from Luleå city centre. We have a fantastic outdoor environment and are close to the beautiful nature around Höträsket.

DUTIES

The position of Leisure Centre Teacher at Mandaskolan involves working with students during the days and at the leisure centre before and after school hours. As a Leisure Centre Teacher, you are responsible for conducting leisure centre activities, which means planning, developing, and following up on the activities, both individually and together with your work team.

The goal of the leisure centre activities is to create an environment that promotes security, social awareness, and independence. Students are offered a meaningful leisure time that supports their development and encourages them to take their own initiatives.

Recess activities will be included in your duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• are a certified teacher with a focus on leisure centres
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you:

• have professional experience from working in leisure centre activities, school, or preschool
• are familiar with the leisure centre curriculum

To succeed in the role, it is required that you are structured and skilled at planning, driving your work forward, and completing what you have started. A key to success is your ability to meet the needs of different students and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You need to be a stable and secure person who can handle stress in a constructive way, maintain a good mood even under pressure or setbacks, have the courage to speak up when necessary, and have the ability to separate facts from personal matters. It is also important that you can find solutions to emerging problems.

If you become a candidate for the position, you will need to present a clean extract from the criminal record register.
