We are looking for a specialist in child and adolescent medicine to join our dedicated team at Alva BUMM in Södertälje. Here, you have a unique opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up while working broadly with pediatric issues in an environment where your commitment truly makes a difference.

About Us

Capio Alva BUMM is an established pediatric and adolescent medicine practice with several clinics in Stockholm. We have now opened a new clinic in Södertälje, located in Gneta, where we provide care commissioned by the region.

The clinic is newly established and situated in newly renovated, modern premises with a calm and pleasant environment. The smaller unit, with close collaboration between professions, creates good conditions for short decision-making paths, flexibility, and strong teamwork.

We work in an area where the need for accessible pediatric care is high. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to more equitable care and make a concrete difference in the daily lives of children and families.

At our clinic, pediatricians with various specialist competencies, pediatric nurses, and eventually psychologists work together. Together, we see children for assessment, treatment, and follow-up of both common and more complex pediatric conditions. Our patient groups include, among others, asthma and allergies, gastrointestinal issues, growth disorders, obesity, and neuropsychiatric conditions.

The practice is in a development phase where routines and working methods are being shaped, offering great opportunities to influence both work methods and direction. We have a strong tradition of education and actively work with competence development, supervision, and knowledge exchange between our units.

We value job satisfaction, participation, and initiative. At our clinic, everyone actively contributes to the development of both the practice and the work environment.

Your Role

As a pediatrician here, you will work with clinic duties within general pediatrics, including medical assessment, investigation, and follow-up. The work consists mainly of scheduled patient visits, with the possibility of following patients over time.

You collaborate closely with nurses and other professions and contribute to creating security for our patients and their families. The role also includes consultation and support to primary care, as well as administrative work related to patient flows.

You supervise ST-doctors (residents) and students and participate actively in our quality and development work. There are great opportunities to influence the practice, develop new working methods, and take responsibility within your own areas of interest, such as neuropsychiatry or chronic conditions.

About You

You are a specialist in child and adolescent medicine and confident in your profession. Whether you have experience from outpatient care, BUMM (Child and Adolescent Health Services), or inpatient care, you are warmly welcome to apply – we see value in different backgrounds and the breadth of perspectives it brings to our team.

Previous experience in outpatient care, BUMM, or supervising ST-doctors and students is meritorious but not a requirement. We offer a structured introduction and good support in your new role, so that you can feel secure and develop with us.

Interest in areas such as neuropsychiatry, gastroenterology, or obesity is positive, but the most important thing is your curiosity and willingness to learn.

As a person, you are engaged, unpretentious, and take initiative. You contribute to a good work environment and always put the child's best interests first. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop, share your expertise, and make a real difference in children's lives – every day.

What We Offer

Here, you will receive a permanent employment with a collective agreement in a modern and flexible work environment. You are offered good opportunities to influence your work methods and schedule, as well as to help shape a developing practice.

You will receive a secure introduction and collegial support from a dedicated team. We invest in your competence development through educational initiatives and knowledge exchange within the organization.

We value job satisfaction and health and offer, among other things, fitness benefits and social activities.

In addition, we offer:

  • Competitive salary based on your competence and experience
  • Occupational pension according to collective agreement
  • Present manager and short decision-making paths
  • A practice where development and participation are encouraged
  • Opportunity to influence schedule and working methods

Application

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Therefore, do not wait with your application. We look forward to hearing from you.

Upon employment, we will conduct a qualification check with IVO (Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare) and the National Board of Health and Welfare, and we will also check the criminal record for the final candidate.

Start date: By agreement Last application date: 2026-08-31 (selection is ongoing)
