Saint-Gobain Sweden, Isover is looking for a Mechanic for our process plant in the Maintenance Department.

About the role

As a mechanic with us, you will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance of our production equipment. You will become part of our Maintenance team, along with mechanics, electrical and automation technicians, media specialists, and warehouse staff.

The work includes, among other things:

• Troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of machines and production equipment. Some tasks may be performed in hot environments, as work in some cases takes place near the melting process.
• Welding in TIG and metal arc, bearing assembly, as well as repair, troubleshooting, and complete renovation of our tel machines. Both in the workshop and out on our production lines.
• Planned maintenance to ensure high operational reliability.
• Participation in improvement work and projects within our WCM (World Class Manufacturing) work.
• Collaboration with production to optimize processes and reduce downtime.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who enjoys solving problems in a varied daily routine. You thrive both working independently and as part of a team.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are:

• Solution-oriented and proactive.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Communicative and have good teamwork skills.

Since some work tasks take place in hot environments, it is important that you have good physical fitness.

We are looking for someone who has

• A workshop technical education at least at the upper secondary level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of TIG welding.
• Experience in similar tasks within an industrial or process environment.
• Good computer skills (experience working in SAP is a plus).
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

Other details

Working hours are weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00.

The position is a permanent employment, with an initial 6-month probationary period that may apply. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
