About the Role

In the role of Airport Controller in Borlänge, you primarily work with charter departures to destinations such as Greece, the Canary Islands, and Cyprus. You meet travelers full of anticipation and ensure their journey starts in the best possible way.

We usually have one departure per week and need you who want to work 1–2 times a week, during shifts of 3–4 hours, mostly in the afternoons but sometimes also early mornings.

You usually work in a team of 5–6 people who together ensure that each departure runs smoothly, safely, and well.

As an Airport Controller, you primarily work with service and security in an airport environment. In this dynamic, international, and multilingual environment, you are part of a dedicated group that provides services to airports, airlines, and many other airport-related companies. Your job is to check and double-check all conceivable threats, and to create a safe, secure, and pleasant experience for travelers and visitors.

For example, you will:

• Security check passengers
• Security check luggage and goods
• Thoroughly inspect vehicles, buildings, and parking areas
• Check air mail, cargo, and catering equipment

Requirements

Specific requirements:

• You have approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school.
• You are fluent in both Swedish and English.

We consider it meritorious if you have a driver's license and access to your own car. You may be required to work at times when public transport is not always available, so it is an advantage if you have a driver's license and access to your own car. However, it is not a requirement if you have other good ways to solve your transport to and from the workplace. Speaking more languages than Swedish and English is also considered meritorious.

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, and that you can handle periods of high work tempo. We would like to see that you are patient, have a great interest in technology, and find it easy to understand instructions.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on a collective agreement between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
