Södra Dalarnas Rescue Service Association is responsible for rescue services in the municipalities of Avesta, Hedemora, Fagersta, and Norberg. The organization comprises approximately 45 full-time employees and 100 part-time employees, distributed across six fire stations. Our operations are both remedial and preventive, meaning all personnel participate in preventive work.

Instructor for the Education Unit

Do you want to contribute to a safer society while working with education and development? Södra Dalarnas Rescue Service Association is now looking for a dedicated instructor.

About the Role

As an instructor, your responsibilities include:

• Planning, conducting, and following up on training courses.
• Providing training in areas such as fire protection, first aid, CPR, SBA (Basic Life Support), and hot work.
• Contributing to the development of our training programs.
• Working with municipalities, companies, and external clients.

The unit also handles technical assignments such as VMA inspections and fire alarm testing, and supports operational activities when needed.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has education as a firefighter (minimum GRIB or equivalent) or other relevant pedagogical background.
• Is self-motivated, structured, and communicative.
• Has strong pedagogical skills and enjoys interacting with people.
• Has a valid B-driver's license (Class C or higher is an advantage).

• Opportunities exist to serve as a firefighter when needed.
• The position may require security clearance in the future, which entails a requirement for Swedish citizenship.
