We are now looking for an engaged HSE Specialist to join our service organization in Ludvika. In this role, you will support our local service unit by driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy's standards, and enabling continuous improvement in our operations. You will work closely with managers, technicians, and global HSE functions to strengthen learning, prevent incidents, and improve overall HSE performance.

How you will contribute

  • Promote a proactive HSE culture by guiding employees and managers in daily HSE decisions.
  • Lead and support incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up on lessons learned.
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's standards as well as local legal requirements.
  • Analyze HSE performance using digital tools (PowerBI, Intelex) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, training activities, and ensure that the right HSE tools and equipment are available and used.
  • Drive the implementation of HSE programs, initiatives, and progress towards key HSE goals and KPIs.

Your background

  • Experience working in HSE roles within industrial, service, production, or technical environments.
  • Good understanding of incident management, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to coach, train, and support managers and employees on HSE matters.
  • Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and digital HSE systems (PowerBI, Intelex, or similar).
  • Structured, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Fluent in English; Swedish is an asset.
