Your Role

In your role as a Welding Preparation Engineer, you will work on both new construction and modernization projects for submarines and surface ships. You will play a vital part in the collaboration between design and production during the development and integration of new technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our primary tool, Weldeye.
• Ensure quality assurance of documentation and verify that correct control documentation related to welding is executed during the production phase.
• Work with production calculations, construction methods, and assembly sequences.
• Conduct design analyses and prepare manufacturing documentation for the product.
• Plan for efficient production implementation within the facility's equipment and processes.
• Engage in dialogue with preparers, production engineers, as well as design and production staff.

Your Profile

We are looking for a driven individual who values relationship building, as the role involves significant contact with our customers. You have a strong technical interest and a desire to continuously improve and develop our operations.

Requirements

• Experience in preparation, welding, OFP work, or equivalent higher education.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Merits

• Experience from the marine industry, process industry, or steel manufacturing industry.
• Experience working in large-scale, complex development projects and operations.
• Experience in design and creation of production documentation.
• Experience in creating control plans or working with Weldeye.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, citizenship requirements may apply.
