Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a preschool teacher who wants to contribute to an stimulating and sustainable education. Our preschool is located in a residential area close to nature, which offers unique opportunities for children to study ecological processes up close and develop ecological literacy. In our atrium, we actively work with plants and animals to promote understanding of biological diversity and sustainable development.

As a preschool teacher, you, together with the work team, are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and developing the education in accordance with the preschool curriculum. At our preschool, aesthetic learning processes and language-promoting work are part of the education. Through creation, play, and exploration, children get to express themselves and develop their abilities in many different ways.

Together, we shape an operation based on a co-researching approach, where the education starts from the children's interests and takes place in a playful and meaningful way. Together with other colleagues, you have the preschool's value base and view of knowledge in focus. You should be well acquainted with and familiar with the preschool's steering documents. Together with your colleagues, you share the overall responsibility for planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation of the pedagogical operations.

The preschool should be the children's arena where we develop together and create new knowledge, where the children's right to participate in a hopeful and sustainable future is the foundation of the democratic work that guides us in the preschools. This means that you take advantage of children's experiences, questions, and initiatives as a starting point for the education. You work to ensure that children are given real opportunities for participation and influence in the education and contribute to developing an approach where exploration, communication, and meaning-making are at the center.

You contribute to designing accessible, inclusive, stimulating, and exploratory learning environments that enable children's different ways of expressing themselves and participating in joint learning processes. In the education, different knowledge areas and perspectives are integrated to create context and deeper understanding.

The assignment includes leading and developing the education, working with pedagogical documentation as a basis for analysis and continued development, and actively contributing to systematic quality work. You collaborate with colleagues and guardians and participate in collegial learning to strengthen the quality and equity of the education.

Requirements and Qualifications

• You are a licensed preschool teacher.
• You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
• You have good knowledge of our curriculum and assignment and the ability to translate this into education.
• You use digital tools in education in a conscious and professional manner to document, communicate, and deepen and broaden the education.
• You use pedagogical documentation as a tool in planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis of the education, where children's experiences, questions, and interests are taken into account.
• You have experience working as a preschool teacher, preferably with experience in language-promoting approaches and knowledge about education for sustainable development.

Before appointment, a valid extract from the police criminal record is required by law.

You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a professional and respectful manner and work for children's participation and influence in the education. You reflect on and analyze the education and develop it based on children's experiences, questions, and interests.

You create trusting relationships and meet children and adults with sensitivity and respect. You actively contribute to the work team and participate in collegial learning, taking responsibility for the quality of the education and actively contributing to the development of the operations. You plan, implement, and develop education and create conditions for children's exploration, communication, and meaning-making. You have experience in developing learning environments as well as project-oriented or exploratory approaches, and in communicating and creating conditions for dialogue, participation, and joint meaning-making. You also have experience in pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work.

Employment Form and Conditions

Employment Form: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
