Health Care Developer at Imaging and Functional Medicine Västerbotten

Imaging and Functional Medicine (IFM) Västerbotten conducts extensive operations at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå, Skellefteå Hospital, Lycksele Hospital, as well as at health centers in southern Lapland. IFM Västerbotten is responsible for imaging radiological examinations such as nuclear medicine, mammography, and advanced peripheral and neuroradiological interventions. The equipment fleet includes, among other things, six MRI scanners, nine computed tomography (CT) units, two PET/CT units, and a cyclotron. The clinic performs approximately 200,000 examinations per year. A large part of the operations involves ward rounds conducted at local, regional, and national levels. Research is carried out in collaboration with Umeå University, focusing on fMRI and nuclear medicine with PET/CT, and international collaboration projects are ongoing. Education for doctors and radiographers is also conducted in cooperation with the university. Just under 300 employees work at the clinic.

The position is based at Norrlands University Hospital. Since Imaging and Functional Medicine Västerbotten is a county clinic, work at the hospitals in Lycksele and Skellefteå may occur.

Job Responsibilities

As a Health Care Developer with us, you create the conditions for collaboration, new knowledge, and a strong future.

You work across the county with change and development assignments within the clinic and with other units. This means driving improvement work at both operational and strategic levels in close collaboration with management, and supporting the development of sustainable and efficient working methods with the patient's and the organization's needs in focus.

The assignments may, for example, involve process development, governing documents, audits, and work environment. You support the organization in developing and following up on goals and key performance indicators for analyzing results, deviations, and trends as a basis for development and improvement. You also support the organization in communication matters, information structure, and the management of digital collaboration spaces. The role also includes administrative tasks of a more operational nature. You collaborate closely with managers, other professions, and support functions, becoming an important part of the work to strengthen collaboration, drive development, and identify long-term sustainable solutions. Environmental scanning is a natural part of the role.

Qualifications

For this job, you need a relevant university education within healthcare or other experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have previous experience working with development and improvement work and preferably have experience in project and method development in a complex organization.

To succeed in the role, you need strong initiative and the ability to involve and collaborate with others to achieve good results. You work in a structured and methodical manner, having an eye for detail while also being able to work long-term and strategically. As a colleague, you are diplomatic and show trust in others' expertise.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a good ability to adapt your message based on the target audience and context. You also have good digital skills and administrative abilities and find it easy to familiarize yourself with new systems and digital tools.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement.
