Administration and Development in the Meal Services Department

Do you want to help create mealtime joy for children, students, and the elderly in Hjo Municipality? The Meal Services Department is now seeking a dedicated employee who wants to contribute to the development of our eleven kitchens.

This position is a combination of practical and administrative work, where you will work 50 percent as a chef and 50 percent as administrative support to the Head of Meal Services. The role offers you the opportunity to combine your interest in food with development work and be an important part of strengthening the quality of the municipality's meal services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• working in our nutritional data program, Mashie
• handling internal billing
• coordinating the recruitment of substitutes
• participating in the development of meal services and our work processes
• contributing to menu planning with a focus on food joy, health, and sustainability
• inspiring and supporting our kitchens through training and development initiatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in food and meals and who want to help develop future public meal services.

You are structured, quality-conscious, and have good communication and collaboration skills. Since part of the role involves inspiring and training staff in our kitchens, you must be able to plan, conduct, and follow up on training initiatives in a pedagogical and engaging manner.

We are looking for someone with:

• chef training
• experience working within public meal services
• good digital competence and experience working in various operational systems, preferably the nutritional data program Mashie
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• valid Category B driver's license

As a person, you are receptive, inclusive, and communicative. You thrive working both independently and collaboratively, and you have a solution-oriented approach. You view development as a natural part of the work and contribute with engagement and a positive attitude.
